Wheel question?

Hey guys i just picked up a 98 superhawk and i'm in the process of painting it ( it had a few imperfections and a dent in the tank). I was curious about the wheels, will the rotors ect. mount to a set of cbr wheels? I would really like to paint and polish another set of wheels then just swap them over and cheap cbr wheels seem to come around more often. I was also considering buying the chrome set of vtr wheels from ebay but you have to dish out an additional $600 for a core charge. What do you guys think?

Rumor has it that the 900rr fit the hawk no problems. I haven't tested this theory myself though.

f4i wheel would fit if you also did an f4i front end swap

OK let's clarify this a little. If you're looking to do the 5 spoke wheels, the statement is correct 900rr (98+99) rears and the f3 front will fit. My son's CBR 600 f4 ('99 model) runs the exact same stockers as the Superhawk although I'm not sure of the rotors - they might have to stay with the machine. We trade tires, cush drives in and out of three sets and they all work. When I did my gixxer caliper upgrade we held them in place on his forks and it looked like they would bolt right up as well.

I dont think so bcause CBR F3 mount 160x60x17 unless you want to down size your rear tire.

Thumbs up

I have done the wheel swap. I used the rear wheel off my 900RR track bike and a front wheel from a 90 something F3. Nothing to do but swap them out.
