Describe more. What do you mean? Does it just bog and stumble at 7? Need the details.

Your timing is out by 180 degrees.

why do you think your timing is correct now? you made sure you were at the FT for the fronts and RT for the rears right? front TDC lobes are up and out, TDC rears are up and in.

Are you getting spark on both cylinders? Even if you are, a coil that is going out "could " cause the problem you describe.

I used to run into that kind of problem with carburetor equipped cars from time to time. Sometimes they would just die if you floored it at a certain speed, then you'd let off the gas and it would run fine as long as you didn't go over that certain speed. 9 out of 10 times it was a clogged fuel filter. It even happened to my '70 Chevy Nova SS while it was still under warranty. The dealer did all kinds of stuff trying to find the problem, then they dropped the tank and found the filter sock was clogged.

Check your fuel filter for contamination. Unless you've added inline filters, the only filter is a "sock" type attached to the fuel outlet/petcock assembly at the bottom of the tank. It might be coated with gunk.

If that's not it, try cleaning the carbs. Could be a restricted jet. Also check the carb diaphragms.

And don't forget to check that fuel tank vent hose and tube. A clog there, or a partial kink or constriction, would cause a drop in fuel flow just as the motor ramps up the demand.

Please update when you have found the problem. I seem to have the same issue Iv just had my motor replaced.....and now this has started. ( However, mine is the Honda VTR Firestorm )

She has all the pull off power in the world, but around 5.5K RPM, it feels like she is running out of fuel, then comes back, and does it again. It limits at different revs per gear.....I suspect its carbs and settings tho.

Check the easy stuff first. Ensure the hoses to your tank are correct, petcock is functional and carbs are clean. Good spark at the plugs? How old are the coils?

The other cause for this kind of problem is the side stand switch. Check to see if it is loose or dirty. You can also by pass it to test to see if it is the problem but I would recommend either repairing or replacing it as it is good to have one on your street bike.
