Stock Header size?
Ok, SO I've got this guy that can mandrel bend tubing and pipe but only 1 3/4 inch size... Is that the size of the header pipes? Or are they 2''? Would 1 3/4 tubing be ok size wise? Doesnt seem like it'd be too much of a difference.. Not concerned with the material that the tubing is made of at this point.. just want to establish if the size is OK...

It matters alot!!!
If your engine is stock, go with stock size tubing. Exhaust back pressure is very important to torque and top revs HP. If you have extensive engine work....cams, hi comp, flowed head...THEN you may want larger than stock headers.

there are other variables other than tube size.
but since he is doing custom work,he will probably
need to do carb work regardless.
and 1 3/4 is so close to stock size that in itself wont matter as much as collector shape,
length of pipes etc.
