Some winter reading about fuel
I came across this information while trying to repair a snow blower that was built in the early 80's prior to Ethanol fuel blends. The newer fuels can/did cause problems (big fuel leaks and deposits). Some of the same issues can affect our bike fuel system so I thought you might find it interesting.
One of the Ah-ha moments for me was the notes on how some fuel additives, while boosting octane and providing some cleaning agents, actually push the fuel mix ratio (for Ethanol) far above what the OEM fuel system materials were designed for.
Anyway, hope someone else finds this useful.

Yesterday I spent a few hours cleaning out all of those incredibly small ports inside the carb of what looked like calcium deposits. I was amazed to see how many products provide short term gain while actually doing more harm in the long term.
