Hello everyone!! I am thinking of buying a SH and wanted to get some feedback on reliability of the SH. LIke how many miles without problems can I expect with proper maintinance> Thanks !!!
Also is it true that the Sh will power wheelie in second gear? MP3

Watch the cam chain tensioners and beware of your regulator rectifier going up in smoke at some point. Otherwise, feed the dragon properly (jetting) and it wonk bark or bite you too badly.
and... if you havent ridden one yet, and are unfamilliar to V-twin sportbikes, man, are you going to be grinning from ear to ear, and hopefully its not because you let it grind your face into the street after looping out trying to wheelie.

I put down $500 before I could even ride mine at the dealer in '05. A 1 mile test ride was all it took. My dealer didn't have one in stock. They weren't selling, and my dealer didn't want to get stuck with it. That's part of the cool factor with the SuperHawk...you don't pass 50 of them every Sunday.
Reliability...I sold my 1st bike, a modded '78 Honda CX500 (v twin), in 1986 with 72,000 miles on it and still pulling strong. Just do as said above...regular oil changes and maintenance.
