Parts interchangeable between VTR1000F and RC51 (VTR1000R)?
Does anybody know if certain parts are interchangeable between Superhawk and RC51 (VTR1000R)? In particular, I like the RC51's instrument cluster (all digital).

I was inquiring about Moriwaki parts, with Big Valley Honda. I was told that the RC51 front end can be swapped. Though he said "it is more involved".

I have'nt assembled my bike yet but I have a 929 front end with gsxr 6 pot calipers on it for mine, I was told its a bolt up affair. I was considering trying to put the rc51 fuel injection on my superhawk but not to sure if I want that to go that route yet.

Yeah, that's why I've been hoping for a clarification on this. CBR900 front ends are NOT upside down and use the "old tech" 16 inch wheel, hence their used prices are usually much less than 929/954's.

Yeah you've got a good point there. Another bud on mine just put the 954 kit on his 900 and has a few k$ in the project. Hence, I still have stock forks.
I don't know if the old 900 fork has much of an advantage over what we curently have though, does it? Yeah I'd like to upgrade a bit so I can roll stoppies like I did on my gixxer, which by the way had inverted forks, but I don't want to pay 2k$ for the vanity of saying "look at me! I can roll a stoppie!".

I have a set of RC mufflers bolted up to the superhawks header but the mounting points/brackets don't match up. ID size is larger so I had to add some additional gasket material for a good seal at the header connection.
I also tried an RC exhaust header this weekend as it looks damn near identical to the VTR but alignment is just off by a nats *** (techy term). I think having a muffler shop bend the front out just a smidge (sorry for all this technical talk) should do the trick but it's a back burner kinda' thing right now.
The right rear collector area, where the superhawk is very constricted, is totally open and smooth on the RC. Truth be told tho', the reason I want to do it is that the RC set I got are new condition and look so much better than my high miles 98.
