Painting Track Bodywork

I got around to trying to paint my track bodywork today, ugh.

I found this Krylon Fusion paint for plastic that is a close-enough match to my yellow bike and started on the tail section of my primered Sharkskins. The problem was/is that in some places the paint beaded up, like water on a rainX windshield. WTF? I know I am not Picasso, but this looks like ***. I am guessing there is some surface prep I neglected - I just sorta assumed that I could rattle-can a primered surface without alot of muss and fuss..

So, my question is twofold, #1 any suggestions on how to fix my goofup, and #2 what should I do to the front Fairing to alleviate this problem when I go to paint it?

This dosen't have to be perfect, it's track-only afterall. I could have run it primered and been fine, but I found this spiffy yellow rattle can.....

Did you sand down the primer? Not with a high grit - maybe 600 or higher.

Also, use prep wash just before you spray. It will get rid of all grease/finger/prints/dust, etc.

You can wet sand, then rub compound, then polish compound, then buff out a rattle can job into something rivaling pro results but it's a LOT of work if you're doing the whole bike. The difference is it won't be very hard/durable or resistant to gas/oils.
