other swing arms

not aware of any straight bolt ons...you can cut the brace off a 900rr swingarm and have it welded on for an easy braced swingarm. Several folks have also used sp2 swingarms but that's a bit of cutting and fab work involved with that (and $$$).

yeah i like that red also.
was just testing different colors and found
that shade at wallyworld
its the anodized red spray can.
checked powder coaters they want 500 for just wheels
in that shade.
thats a lot of dough for stock wheels.
id rather save for aftermarket at that rate.

have a lot of mods planned.
weight loss of bike and myself are planned.
battery and all electronics will be relocated.
gonna try a 600rr radiator, older model new one is too large.
subframe is modded. and exhaust will be fabricated out of stainless.
rear pipe exits under seat and front pipe snakes up and exits left side
above alternator.
most likely baffleless thats where moto gp
shows influence.

i left arm as is.
was a lot easier to setup.
if i had chopped length off,i would have to
do a lot more fabrication.
it does add a liitle to wheel base, but it
just looks cool as hell.
i think it adds less length than vfr arm though.

Are you trimming round the felt tip pen lines that are drawn on the plates for actual size.
Could you mail me a template when your finished if you dont mind
it is looking very special i'm tempted to redo my conversion lol
my vfr swinger adds about 50mm to the wheel base have you an idea on the sp one yet??
whens it finished??

havent actually measured yet.
am curious to know exactly how much longer it is.
im afraid it may be longer than vfr arm after all.
50mm appears to be slightly less than 2in.
man were stretching our bikes!
i actually wont be doing much until after holidays im afraid.
but yeah if any one wants a template i will work on that.

Soon! I should have had this bike done about 6 months ago but I just haven't had the time. Amongst all the other stuff I currently have the 900rr braced swingarm but just had an sp2 swingarm built that I need to polish. Also finally scored a set of mag marchesinis and of course already did the rc51 front end... it's coming...

could anyone here that has a vfr arm measure from
pivot center to center of axle.
i have a measurement of 530mm on rc arm.

"had it built" means I started learning to tig but not experienced enough to try and build it myself lol. Paid a pretty penny to have @3 inches cut out of it (to keep the stock wheelbase) and have it welded to the superhawk swingarm pivots. Also had a custom shock mount made so I can keep my superhawk shock (ohlins). So now it's a bolt on part. I don't have pics yet but I promise to post 'em as soon as I can get this thing back together. This is ******* sickness and it's an expensive one too.
