which oil is the best? Official Poll
#3
Extra virgin olive oil is healthiest, but light olive oil is sometimes the best flavor/ texture. You can't beat peanut oil for frying. coconut oil used to be the thing for making popcorn, but the greeie-weenies drove it out of the movie theaters because it was alleged to be unhealthy.

I can't vote for my favorite: coconut butter.
It's great. Make a mess while changing it? Just roll around in it, go lay by the pool and consume mass quantities of beer. Plus your superhawk never smelled so good.
Cons? Horn dogs eyeing the back of your bike saying, "They don't call 'em high mounts for nuthin!"

On a more "serious" note...
Is there someone here that have a old thrashed up bike that still kinda runs and want to get rid of.
Might be fun to drop peanut oil (highest flash point) in it and see how long it tastes before turning the engine to crispy aluminium.

That would be an interesting test. Might last longer than people would think.
I once ran a Yamaha 2 stroke single 100 miles in the middle of the night with no oil whatsoever. It seized twice but broke loose each time and got me home. Total repair bill at the Yamaha dealer was $40 usd. That was a long time ago.

i once ran a diesel on kerosene and atf; you would too if you were in the "badder" part of trenton nj in a cube van out of fuel after dark... if i hadn't found that, it would have been wesson and gas, lol
