Red face No gas respond

Hi there, this is Alvin from Singapore.
Have just discovered this awesome few days back,,, & was telling myself where I have been
all this while.

Become back there, Firestorm is a really rare bike, hence never really into VTR chat site both
here & overseas.

I owned a 1998 Firestorm for the past 10yrs!!!!! Still love her till now even I have rides, nothing
can compare with her. Have done stage 1 mob on her as I merely used her for my weekend track
days but have stop 4yrs back after my accident in which I broke my left wrist into two,,,
But damn lucky is on my scooter not her...Phew!!!!!

Been really busy this few weeks & have not been warming her for about 2 months! Was doing it
2 days ago b4 heading for a spin but couple of ‘strange’ stuffs occurred...

Firstly :
I have popped in a brand new battery but was kind of shock even at first crank the starter sounded as if the battery has been there for ages!!!! (weak crank & the oil, neutral light indicators flicked).
My throttle seem to be stuck as well but after a few ‘throttling’ it seem fine except still feels a bit tight thot.

Secondly :
After warming her up, I engaged 1st gear & while attempted to move off,,,, my engine stalled seem like there is no gas respond even after throttled it up ........ Tried a few times same stuff happened.
The unexplainable part is that at neutral gear, I can happily rev her w/o any problem.

My ride is in a prestige condition with mileage reading only 20,000 miles, mob includes a full Yoshi RS3 exhaust system, a standard K&N air filter replacement & lastly with K&N jetting change as well....... All running really well for years till what happened 2 days ago.....

Guys will be truly happy if any of you guru out there can help me out ya......

Thks a million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EEeeeeehhhhhha!!!!!

I have sort of found out what could be the possible cause for the 'no gas' problem....
I have not been riding her for a good 3yrs plus hence the petrol in the tank is around 3-3 1/2yrs old!!!!! I have the habit of topping up all my rides to full to prevent rust. I reckon the petrol have turned 'bad' aka 'bad fuel'. After drawing out the 'bad fuel' & loading with new gas...... she fired up at first crank!!!!!!! Unleashing 103bhp at rear!!!!!
