Lowering Link?

Lowering Link?
Hey there I have a 98 superhawk and wondered if anyone knows where a lowering link can be purchased or if there is another way to drop a hawk about 1.5 or 2 inches? I would like to be able to firmly have both feet on the ground on any terrain just for stability you know?

So it seems like many people want to lower the hawk, but it is kinda expensive to have someone machine a new dogbone. I heard some say that spacers in the rear shcok might lower the bike. Does that make for a firmer ride? The guy I bought the bike from was a lot bigger than me. I would love for teh suspension to be a bit softer. I think that I barely compress the rear spring. Is there a way to get a bit more compression out of it. I weigh only 165 so maybe not.

Well I found a place to lower the hawk. Honda place here in the area. The son of the owner used to have a superhawk so he knew what to use. If interested PM me and I will give you the name and number of the place. He could ship you the link or whatever. I wont post it cause i am not advertising for the as much as i am saying hell yeah to the fact that I got my bird lowered!!!! Part cost about $70

Here is a few photo's of my lowered VTR. I used stock CBR links and spaced it with steel spacers. Dropped about 2 inches in the back, and had to keep the front at about 1.5 inches (clearance). It is more than adequate, I have taken passengers. Trimmed the kickstand, which it's right at the threshold of balance, i will be welding the lip back on it!
Not for twisties mind you! I have drug my toe a couple of times...... always have to adjust my position when cornering tight. But much nicer for cruising low and slow!

Meeting with the owner today. Will see what can be done and by how much. Will post back as soon as I get more information. I've seen his stuff and it's nice.

The owner of Soupys performance measured my 03 hawk and will come up with a prototype the the superhawk. Should be a couple of weeks but as soon as he's done he will install one on my bike. Once a prototype is done any changes can be done quickly. I will take pictures and post information as I get it.

The lowering link is done. Very nice part. It's infinitely adjustable via a turnbuckle. It took about 10 minutes to install. Really cool. The pictures are from my bike, 2003 Superhawk, stock headers, Yosh slipons.
Here's the link to his site.
