Well, in particularly, the people who did the -1 +2 sprocte swap...did you have to get a new chain? is the stock one long enough to fit on there because of -1 in the front?

i have a fairly new chain and i wanted to play with the sprocket swap but its not feasible to get another chain when this one is fine...

thanks!

New chain is not needed if the sprockets are pitched the same size as the old chain. One down in front and two up in the rear makes the S'hawk a wheelie monster, stoplight blaster and gas milage ogre. Have fun.

Increasing sprocket size means you'll use up more chain. Decreasing sprocket size means using up less chain. I know the OEM 102 link chain works OK with -1 front/+2 rear. Also OK with just adding a +2 rear. After that I'm not sure.

Yeah. You're good to go with the chain you've got.

Keep in mind this will shorten your wheelbase. Having a longer chain will allow you to keep it closer to standard.
