General rule of thumb is a HP loss of 3 to 4% for every 1,000' you go up. I moved from the midwest at 700' to the mountains of New Mexico at over 7,000'. In theory I'm down about 18 to 24%. The good news is everybody else is in the same situation- except those with turbo or supercharged powerplants.

I'm in downtown denver so first, welcome back. Second, I did have my carburettor adjusted/jetted (K&N) at a local shop. I didn't notice a major power increase but deffinitly crisper throttle responce. Good luck!

I don't know if my Hawk was ever jetted before I bought it but it did have 2Bros pipes so I am guessing it might have. But then again it would shoot blue flames at night on deceleration so it might have been running a bit rich. Enjoy the Hawk, I do miss the sound on that bike though, my KTM sounds great but it doesn't have the same boom as the Super Chicken.
