How accurate is the stock tach?

I'm reading reports of the speedo being out by 10%, so i'm going to check mine with my Garmin Zumo 550 gps unit.

Makes me wonder about the stock tachometer. Anyone compared it to a dyno or aftermarket tach? How (bad?) is it?

Let me know.

They are usually a few hundred rpm off at the top if you base it on readings from the dyno. Even my 1000RR is off if compared to the Power Commander software.
