Hi all, new SH owner with same o'll question, CCT.
Good day everyone. A new and proud owner of a 98 SH.
Although it does not cut the air as well at higher speeds as even my 86 GSXR, still the engine feel/noise and overall feel of the bike is awesome.
I have been reading many posts and just wanted to confirm something about CCT i read but can't locate again.
Did someone at some point say that the updated CCT from Honda would have a white or silver dot on it?
If so, does that mean it's ok not to change it right now? the bike has 24K on it and is in immaculate shape.

I don't think anyone actually knew for sure the color of the dot. I gave up looking and just dropped the $110 for the APE manual CCT's. Been happy and care free ever since. I'd change them but that's just me.

I don't know if you can trust the dot colors. I have a '98 and when I replaced my auto CCT's the dot on the front cylinder was white and the dot on the rear cylinder was orangish/pink. Don'f know if the PO changed one of 'em out. Put APE's in and forgetaboutit.
