I think your post requires a little bit more info before answers are given
Is there pressure on the lever? Does it stay engaged, or stay disengaged? Can you still shift the bike? And what are the conditions of the line like? Fluid? Any noises?.......

sorry. no weird noises i can't shift the bike its like im not even using the clutch when i try to put in gear. i haven't noticed a leak so i don't think i blew the line. i didn't even know it didn't work until i went to put it in first and it stalled out. I'm at a loss i don't know why it worked when i put it in my garage and now its busted.

As per 8541Hawk check the clutch slave seal and cylinder condition. Grit can get ingested which scratches the slave cylinder and/or damages the seal and fluid can slowly seep without necessarily causing a full blown apparent leak.

Have a search on this forum for bleeding clutch for hints and tips on this job as the smaller reservoir dictates more attention than say bleeding brakes.

you can change gears because you're using the gear shifter, not the clutch. You can go through the gears on any bike without the clutch when the bike is off.
You've got air in the hydraulic clutch, as others have stated because of a leak in the slave cylinder.
follow the clutch line down to the engine and check if there is any fluid on the cover.
If you don't already have a service manual, do a search and download the *.pdf

once you do that, make sure there is no leak where the cup is or where the lever meets the plunger in the MC.the MC should have pressure, make sure it does.
on the bottom of the sprocket cover, there is a little hole.if there is some sort of a leak,it will be wet under there, have paint peeling or look rusted in a way.
but most of all,I noticed you said " i didn't even know it didn't work until i went to put it in first and it stalled out."if all else checks out.make sure the kick stand is up before putting in gear.it will turn off if not.if the kick stand is up and it stalls out,its possible it could be the kick stand switch.
but no matter what, check everything else first.
imho, make sure you clean and flush all lines, this will make a big difference.
good luck.
