Front brake doesn't trigger brake light, HELP

Ok, so I just bought my SH, and today I was playing around with it and realized the brake light doesnt light when the front brake lever is pulled in. The rear brake pedal works though, however it must be pressed hard to get the light to work. What should I do? How do I test the front brake? Is it stuck on (if that was the case though then wouldnt the rear seem to not work at all?) Where is the front brake switch?

the brake switch is on the bottom of the mc,or underneath to the left of the lever.
if you slowly pull in the lever, you should hear a clicking, thats the switch, make sure its plugged in or change the wires around.
for the rear, you can adjust the switch, its on the mc of the rear brake lever with a spring to it and a little nut.thats where you adjust it.

The switch is located right where the lever attaches to the MC I believe. There are two small plugs that attach to it... make sure those are clean and attached. Then go from there.

The rear brake switch is a long cylinder thing with a large thumb twist screw on it. This can be adjusted for sensitivity...so you can fix your rear brake to trigger with less travel as well

5 minutes to swap out for a new one - they don't cost much. (part no. 1)

To test the switch, unplug the wires to the switch, put your multimeter on low ohms scale and go across the switch terminals and pull the lever. It should change from infinite resistance to almost zero resistance while pulling the lever. If you want to test the wiring to the light, you can just jumper across the wires while they are disconnected, and with the key on, the brake light should come on when jumpered.

I graduated from VT, so I was down that way for a while. The 412 was my area code from my hometown, Pittsburgh, PA. I just moved to Alabama for work though.

ok so tested the switch, and it says it has continuity, so... where should I look next? I was going to try and jump from the switch to the light to test and see if one of the wires is bad. If thats the case what are my options?

The easier way would be just to connect the two wires attached to the switch... the light should go on when there is a continuous circuit. If the light goes on when they're connected, then wires aren't bad.
