False neutrals on the track, bike has only 7K miles.
It happened in my first track day, between 3rd and 4th sometimes,in the middle of a corner, the bike would just go "neutral" and when I upshift again ,it will clunk to 4th or 5th gear, randomly.
My bike is only 7K miles, and has never been abused,I take good shifts ,seldom missing a bit,but in the track,or whenever Im in a hurry, mostly in corners,I will fall into that false neutral. It bugs me big time.
Is it normal?
Is it an expensive repair incoming?

Well,it all sounds to me like it does have, indeed ,a grey area between when you hear a "click" and where it does shift, there is a place where the design clicks but it needs a little more force to actually engage.
Let me say that when I shift securely and consciouss,it never "fails"
but if the click happened,it should have either shifted or stayed in the same gear, not a ghost point.
uc?
I will investigate the posibility of tightening things up on the shifter area,I think things are indeed,a little loose on my specimen.
BTW I see my friends with Ducatis they eliminate the linking and they shift backwards.that is the lever is straight into the shaft, thus eliminating every other element, they say this is the way GP riders have it.
Problem for me,it was dificult to get used too, after so many years shifting the other way around...
