Exhaust Header coatings

Well, I installed my WileyCo stainless exhaust last week and voila! - my header pipes now look like crap. Has anyone used the Eastwood high temp paints on their headers?

I had this stuff on all of the antique cars that I had, but have no idea if it will work on the SHawk. If it lasted 10 years on my '64 Stang, I figure that it will work on the bike.

Does this come in other colors as well, like black?

Black, cast iron gray, and stainless...I was looking at black as well. It is best to media blast any items before applying this stuff, however, I have had good results with sanding them by hand.

Yes, Eastwood is good paint. Just make sure the prep is good and you allow it to fully cure and dry. If you can find an oven big enough it'd be perfect...or a heat gun, but that'd take a while. Otherwise the paint will bubble/flake.

Yes, it is very good stuff. It sounds like I will be the white rat on this topic/project. Since spring isn't coming until September, I might as well start now. I was able to bake the exhaust manifolds from my cars, but not the pipes. I left pipes outside to bake in the sun for a week during the summer (taking them in at night, of course).
