Engine mounting question

Engine mounting question
I've had a look at one of the frame adjusters on my bike and don't really want to be tampering with it because it could end up ruining the powder coating on my frame.
The problem i'm stuck with is the correct width spacer wont fit. I've attached a picture of what it looks like at the moment, if i made the adjuster bolt smooth and made sure the spacer i fit is in tightly would this be a problem?
I'm a bit concerned that with it like it is i'm going to have problems with the chain lining up? Any ideas on a possible solution?

Beesfan.... I had an issue with this spacer too when I had my frame powder coated. The tolerence is REALLY tight for this. It should be a snug fit. I am attaching a picture of what mine looks like.

Thanks for the reply.
Looking at that it looks like you have cut the spacer down? I know it has to be a snug fit i was just wondering if it will give me any problems if i cut the spacer down instead of moving the adjuster back?
Also, i don't suppose you have a picture of the otherside of the frame close up? I'd be interested in seeing what the engine mounting bolts look like on yours?
Thanks very much.

Here are some pics of the inside mounts between my frame and motor, both left and right. I did not cut anything down to get it to fit, just needed to scrape some of the powder coat off.
Is this what you are looking for? If not.... let me know and I can take some more pics.

Those pics are awesome, the problem i have is that my adjuster bolt is sticking out about 3 or 4 mm more than the one on your bike. It isn't just powder coating that's making the spacer not fit, the adjuster has been turned too much and now the spacer wont fit. I could just get the grinder out and get rid of a few mm from the adjuster bolt, i'm just worried about not having the engine line up correctly. :-(

Did you remove the adjusters prior to getting the frame powdercoated? I didn't want to mess with mine, so they got powdercoated too.
You should be able to back the adjust out a little to make the spacer fit. I really would try that first. I would think that if all of the other mounting points are good, reducing the size of the spacer in conjunction to having the adjuster in farther sould not affect the alignment of the chain.

I didn't remove the adjusters before i went to the powder coaters, i brought the frame from somebody without checking all the spacers fit before sending it off which looking back was a bit silly.
I'll try and move the adjuster bolt first then, even if i move it a couple of mm, then if i use some sand paper to make sure it's all smooth i should be good to go.
Someone told me to use some washers to fill the gap but i didn't want to do that and end up with vibration problems and alignment problems. I'll let you know how i get on.
