ebay starter motor?

has anyone used the new starters that are on ebay for around $100. pretty sure mine is going. hard to start when cold, even sounds very slow when warm. all other electrical components are good.

well i took my starter apart to inspect it. looks ok, but lots of debris from the brushes. everything is technically still in spec. i ordered part to rebuild it, since its already taken apart.

on a side note, i had a huge brain fart when i took the starter off. i forgot about one thing.... OIL! oh well... sorry apartment parking lot. cleaned it up as best i could but it did stain. is there any way to get the stain out? im the only one who parks there and i dont want them to complain/charge me for it. seeing how im not supposed to be working on vehicles here in the first place... lol

The cheap clay type. Once it's all soaked up, use some concrete cleaner on it then blast with high pressure sprayer. Probably more than you want to do but that will clean it.

got the starter rebuilt. seems a little better, but still has some trouble starting on cool mornings. pretty much been over everything else, wonder if it could just be the 15 weight oil?
