Question coughing through carbs!

Help. Bike has started coughing back through the carbs. It idles fine but when it reaches between 2200 and 3500 rps it starts losing powerand shudders. if i run it up past 3500 it runs like it is supposed to.I have just had it painted so the tank was off but after looking through the forum for a few days i have checked that all of the lines are clear and hooked up to where they are supposed to be.the lines inside the tank are clear also. the pair valve is still hooked up, the only mods to the engine has been a k&n filter, jet kit and exhaust. all installed at the dealer. the only thing that i changed while it was getting paint is that i went from yosh low mount to jardine high mounts

new pipes would change the flow characteristics but I'm no carb expert either

You'll need to change the carb needle settings. That rpm you're now having the stumbles in is when the carbs switch between primary and main jets. The pipe change screwed with it.

Back off the needles one notch (set e-clip lower), DJ are pretty conservative on the fuel, this should clear the problem.
