Is converting to a single exhaust just a case of
capping off the splitter under the bike so it only has one pipe coming out of it?
Or will this trash the running of the bike?

If you put a low restriction can I'd say it will be fine, if you keep only a stocker, you'll choke it and the drop in hp will kill the weight saving.

Thanks, it won't be a standard pipe but a large bore straight through glasspack type.
