Cheap Petcock Repair
Hey all, had to replace my petcock diaphragm set, found out that the parts from the GL1500A Aspencade (1991-1995) Fuel Petcock Repair Kit are the same except for the spring which is reusable anyway, found the best price here, http://www.carbkitscapital.com/carb_kit_list_model.php?make=Honda&model=GL1500
$13.00 plus shipping, cheapest I could find for the VTR was $23.95, got it fast too.

Yeah it's great to be able to cross reference parts and get them for cheaper. Before I sold a vulcan 750 I was fixing up I was looking for a pair of rotors because it had a vibration. They were all like $75-$100 or more on ebay. So I pulled out the old Dennis Kirk catalog and found the same part#'s for some old KZ's and grabbed a pair of the exact same rotors for around $10 hehe. Problem solved It's come in handy a bunch of times for that.

Yea, that's odd that you had about the same size hole in the same area that I had on mine.
Funny this gets brought up, just as I had replaced mine this last week after I found a healthy 1" hole ripped the air vacuum diaphram. My replacement was a K&L for about $16 or something; ordered through the Honda shop over here in Portland OR. Part# stuff is: FCK-42 Petcock Rep Kit, and under the barcode it reads: 18-5015.
It came with four replacement screws, both diaphram bodies (Gasoline cutoff and air), and two springs (There isn't supposed to be two installed though, is there? ...I was thinking they threw an extra one in just in case the other one decided to fly off somewhere.)
