Carb issues?

I have a 1999 Superhawk, that everytime i hit the brakes hard it will die, regardless of how long its been running for. Also when it is hot and i'm not traveling very fast it will start to die. i have no idea whats wrong. suggestions?

Die as in cut out immediately? Or sputter to stop?

Some typical problems people have are poorly routed gas tank venting tubes, and improperly installed vacuum tubes coming off the rear of the petcock. Something to check but from your description sounds like something else. Are you losing electrical power when this happens?

It dies immediately, but the electrical is still going. almost as if it ran out of gas. which would lead me to possibly believe its dirty carbs and the sludge is sliding around, so when the bike goes to stop hard is gives the illusion of being out of gas?
