Bike dies while riding
#2
If it's at low rpm or when coming to a stop, it's probably due to a carb backfire which is a big bore twin trait with stock jetting. Just restart and go.
Also, when gassing up if you shut off before gas touches the bottom of the fill collar, I've found it almost eliminates the carb farts. But in hot weather with my bike heating up while hitting multiple red lights in a row it will sometimes stall at almost every light. Since I don't care to rejet (it runs flawlessly otherwise) I just live with it.

i've had the same problem...you just have to be quick draw mcgraw on that clutch level if/when it happens. probably a jetting problem considering i dont think mine was after the new cans were mounted (last owner did most of mods). But hey look on the bright side...its a wicked adrenaline rush when the back wheel locks up at 50+ !

you don't have to be that fast. you just need to make sure you release the clutch before the idle runs down to nothing. downshift, blip the gas and engine brake. save your brake pads.

I was having the same problem and wasted the $100 at a shop. Only to have them tell me all they did was re-charge the battery and adjust the idle a little higher. What really pissed me off about it was....after that...havent had it stall out on me once since then. Still feel like I wasted $100 bucks though.
