Talking

I would not want to use glass for a clutch cover.

Look at the damage you just did to your magnisium covers.

Honestly, not to be a smartass, but whenever a "can it be done" question like this comes up I always point out that the things are originally made from ground up and melted rocks dug out of the earth, so yes!!! it CAN be done, the question you are dealing with is how easily and what are your other options. Take a real good look at how that glass is held in there. I'd check mine out but it's dark and my bike is mostly together right now so I'd only be able to see the outside. If it is held in by pressed aluminum (magnesium, uranium?) around it you have a challenge but o-rings or rubber or adhesive seals might not be too tough to replicate. You could even fab up a plug with a dipstick in it. Best of luck.

Have you tried removing the broken one to see how it's held in there? I have a brand new one I looked at. I really don't care to frig with it but there's a rubber gasket around it on the inside so it certainly appears to come out. Also take a look on ronayers.com see if it's in the microfiche.
