98 superhawk no start no lights need help asap!!

98 superhawk no start no lights need help asap!!

i checked the fuses they are all ok.. there is power across the starter solenoid.. the 3 prong black fuse has continuity.. terminals are tight and clean.. i dont know what to do.. please adivse if you have a list of things to go thru..

im not too sure yet becasue i still think it could be something stupid... i got on bike drove about a mile.. got a phone call.. pulled over turned key off.. sat down.. 10 mins later got on bike, no start no lights wont jump..unplugged and checked some connections.. idk what to check next

Did you check the 30A main fuse that is not in the fuse block? It's by the starter relay....

One possibility is a dead battery. Check the battery voltage with the ignition off and then on. If the voltage drops signinificantly with the switch on that is a telltale. A dead battery can fool you with voltage but no amps.

the 30 amp was blown.. was diff to find becasue it is under red connector.. thanks tho going into garage to find one.. any idea why it blew?? thanks guys

only had a 25 amp fuse threw it in started.. then blew few seconds later..bike shut off.. going into town to get 30amps.. fu(k i hope its nothing serious.. i love this bike and i have limited funds..

Fuse usually do not blow without cause. Check for the cause...you wouldn't want to be left stranded.

i know.. but where should i start if the 30 blows again.. any ideas? ive been reading and im not sure which direction to go.. starter/wiring/regulator/solenoid..

Start at any aftermarket equipment installed. Bad connectors, worn insulation, etc.

Just pulled up the wiring diagram. If a 25 amp fuse blew something is wrong. Looks like you'll want to check the charging voltage - possible R/R issue. The main fuse fuses that and the +bat to the ignition switch.
