Beretta Tactical Boots - $29.99
Wearing boatshoes & cross trainers on the bike never has seemed smart, so I got these to commute in.
6" leather & Cordura boot. Reg. $95.00. They lace up, but have a gusseted side zipper, so you can leave 'em tied & just slip 'em on, zip & go.

Very light. All day comfortable. Grippy sole. Not clunky at all. They worked well on the bike this AM.
Look good enough to wear @ work with khakis or jeans, but super easy on-off if you want to change shoes when you get to work.
They flow some air: I could feel it this morning (60 deg.) Maybe feel a little warm @ the office, but pulling the side-zip down helps with that.

Bought a pair of the 8" boots last week (same as the ones the original poster got, except these are 8" high- still in the clearance section at Botach tactical), been wearing them the past couple days and figured I'd post my experience with them. http://www.botachtactical.com/bewa8tabo.html
First off- love the boots, look great, good quality. Price was $29.99, but my s&h was $12.43. Was torn between buying a 10.5 and the 11 (because depending on brands I can go either way) and got the 11's. Once I tried them on I realized I should have gotten the 10.5. Called them back to see what it would take to exchange them, customer service lady was fairly rude and just told me to ship them back on my dime, but it's not worth it to me- just started wearing them no big deal. Great on the bike, but I wouldn't recommend them for super cold weather riding, as they're pretty "airy"- good breeze on my feet as I rode (which is perfect for me). Definitely a good purchase- would recommend them. One additional note- the 8" don't have the side zipper, which would have been nice. These have the quick lacing things the last three holes to the top, but then the topmost one is a regular hole, which makes it a bit of a pain (but not much).

I never cared too much for the XD's. Like anything, its a matter of what feels right. I'm sure glad to know you guys are exercising your second amendment rights! Im disqualified from this, because I get free guns. And they are all awesome.

Yep, Ruger MkIII Hunter. I shot my first competition, US Steel Challenge, in Fredericksburg in August with that gun. The front sight backed-out on me the whole morning. Needless to say, I put loctite on that beeyatch when I got home. The bottom gun in the last pic is my latest buy, a 1962 Winchester 52D with Redfield Olympic sights, and it is drilled/tapped for a Unertl. I don't have the dineros for that scope, but I bought this to shoot open sights. The trigger is factory adjustable down to 1 pound. American made with pride and quality.....
