Two brothers illegal
In colorado the new pipes I bought and installed are now illegal. The sound emmisions are way over the new limit. The cops are now required to carry dB meters and you will get a ticket. Don't pipes save lives, what the hell is this crap.

NYC has a similar law now as well... something to the order of if your bike can be heard from 200 feet away... nice size ticket...
I don't have a huge issue with cracking down on the striaght pipe Harley morons or some squid on an R1 with a Race Micron pipe doing 40 in first gear because the wants the attention... but a stock Hawk could probably be heard 200 feet away in the right place... It's all BS... I don't see them pulling over the "wanna be import tuners" with a gutted pipe on their Honda Civic....
I will admit I pulled the Jardine badges of my pipes... make them look a bit more stock... hopefully it will keep me outta some trouble.

Next thing you know faty foods will start becoming illegal, crap they are. Well at least they don't take cigarretes, crap they started that to. Next thing you know we will have to tune our bikes to run on ethanol and make zero sound.

Well this sucks to hear, particularly from SlowHawk who's a fellow New Yorker. How bad did they ding you??? (Guess I better stay away from the city w/ my Two Bros. huh?) Anyways, I think Killer 5280 put it best, all these rules, reg's and PC stuff is getting way out of hand. I can go on and on about it as can anybody else, but the question is what can be done about it???? Action, not words....

I didn't get hit with any tickets yet... and after loosing 2 rims on a giagantic pothole 2 years ago on the henry Hudson... I stay as far out of the NYC city limits as possible....
Here's the article that started the discussion on another forum... don't know how "true" it is... but I' woudln't doubt it...
