It's been a hell of a summer so far!!!
I work demolition during the summer to make some extra cash. Well I went to work an extra day on Saturday, ever thing was going good. Until about 20 minutes be for we leave. I was removing a double pane window from its frame, when the glass breaks (was not tempered glass) So I go a nice piece of glass stuck in my right fore arm. I was rushed to the ER, got 8 staples put until I could have surgery. I cut 4 tendons and 2 veins (oh and the blood does squirt out like in the movies) well had surgery this morning and I'm feeling great. The only problem is that I can't ride for 6 weeks. This sucks!!!!!!!!!
ps im working on getting some pictures up.

Tendon and muscle injuries totally suck and heal slow.
Two weeks ago I knifed the hell out my left index finger with a customers knife while I was stripping some wire. went to the bone and bled like crazy.
Couldnt feel the tip of my finger for a week or more, pretty scary.
Girlfriend is a doctor and explains how muscle tissue doesnt regenerate, just like brain tissue... it only heals slowly, and will be hurting for weeks.
In your case, I hope it didnt hurt like my finger did, holy ****.

This kind of tendon damage can work itself out in 24 to 36 months if you're under the age of 40. Rehab slowly at first but if you hit it hard a little later you can expect a total recovery at your age. After 40 yo you're in a constant regenerative mode because if you don't move it - you lose it because of the damage. Looks like it closed nicely. Wear your cast as a badge for your effort that day. Show up at work and have lunch with the guys. They will be glad to see you on the mend.
