ever have this happen ...
So i get off work right .. and I'm just tooling around town since it was such a nice day . Then after about 30 min i spot going the other direction a Italian red SH 98 and i think not every day you see one of those around here. So decided to turn around since i had no intended destination anyways. followed the guy (at a distance) for about a mile until he hit a red light. As i got closer i wondered if it was syclone from the forums since he lives around here somewhere. But i saw a chicken strip from like 50 yards and stock exhaust and the guy was wearing muscle shirt, with man *****,aqua socks, and shorts, with some little bitty glasses on. So I'm like damn an R-tard But decide to say hello and see what he was up to. so i pull up beside him and say hello nice bike, he looks over and kinda glares at me like he's looking at a Axe murderer then runs the red light misses second gear and almost drops the bike in the middle of the intersection....
and I'm sitting there going did i do something wrong ? I pulled up slow i wasn't yelling .. had my helmet gloves jacket on... i did get the words superhawkforums out b4 he took off wonder if hes a member ...
i really don't have a point to this i just cant figure out how or why he freaked out unless i looked like some guy what was out to kill him hehehe\
ok I'm done hope that up there makes some kinda sense..

Had a simular incident two weeks ago. My buddy and I stopped at a Stewart's for a break and saw two guys on an R1 and a GSXR. Went over to talk to them and be friendly. What a couple of F__king A__sholes. Unfriendly, cocky, etc.. A couple of young tools (no offense to you younger types out there..). Anyways, they couldn't back up their attitudes w/ their riding abilities. My buddy and I spanked them (and we were riding side by side..) going down a nice twisty road in Saratoga Co. NY. called Middle Grove Road. We smoked 'em, and then tried to ride with them a little afterwords, and they wanted no part of it. Couple of *********. Oh yeah, Hawkrider knows Middle Grove Road, he can attest to its twistiness....

you had me at MAN *****!
lol!
i'm up to about 20 or so dillweeds who won't wave back because my twin ain't leaking oil.
i roll up to 3 HD posers and banter about how nice their bikes are, like v-twins, blah, blah...they look at me like i'm a laotion refugee asking for a bj from their sister and studiously *look away*. "straight up one-percenters", i mutter as i finish gassing up and let'em hear the jardine's bark
haven't found another shawk nearby, but let's hope man-boob isn't riding birdy's twin if i do!

unfortunately its the crowd that sport bikes draw. i ride with a dude that races 250cc Vespas i rode vespas with them and they are some of the coolest guys ever- a bunch of punk rockers, mods, and rude boys. They dont care what you ride, so long as you ride....maybe some good natured "mods and rockers" ribbing, but its all in good natured fun. (Random Scooter guys always look at me funny when i say hi to them, like im about to make fun of them, but never do- so they dont know quite what to think.)
motorcycles tend to bring out the "look at me factor" in people (especially, as was mentioned before, the younger alpha-male ' i-****-cheerleaders, bro' crowd), and it makes them feel like a rebel or something. some people just take it too far and look ridiculous. for the most part, riders are friendly, but some of them use the motorcycle as an extension of their mommy issues or to compensate for their small ****.

i had the same issue once. while riding down the highway, 95 south in foxboro if you know mass., a cocky bastard on a gsxr750 and i were kind of riding down the highway together (don't know the guy) and he decides he is way cooler than me and decides to split lanes riding down the dotted white line. well to make a long story short, squeezing through next to the semitrailer wasn't such a good idea, he tagged the mirror of the car in the next lane and turned right into the car, dumped the bike and i watched from 20ft away as the semi trailer ran over the bike. part of me was concerned, the other half was laughing so hard i almost rearended the car infront of me. moral of the story... think before you do something stupid. p.s. if any1 is in the area.... the taunton green turns into kinda like a bike show on friday and saturday nights... depending on the weather..... of course.

Yeah I am 27 and there is this sportbike group my buddy likes to hang out with. On their forum they proclaim themselves as track racers and you do not race track your are a poser. I bought my SH to cruise and enjoy time with my fiance. So I try to avoid them because they a little snobish at times (about my age or younger). I noticed everyone else for the most part sport bike wise in Illinois is pretty friendly when they are not in a crowd. I think people on their cruisers are the coolest always waves and nods.

Over the years I've had great encounters with riders on the road, people I never even spoke to, just ended up riding with cause they were going the same direction, and then we parted when our directions changed - cool. On the other hand, riding through the midwest in particular, I've encountered shop guys who've never seen a SH and think I'm a dipshit for riding a bike they aren't familiar with, doesn't meet their quota for horse power, or doesn't have the bling factor. Oh well, they don't know what they're missing.
