Any of you guys/gals racing or spectating March 15th and 16th at Eagles Canyon? I will be there, most likely corner working on at least Sunday.

Eagles Canyon

I do lots of TD's South Texas and have been on Cressen. LSTD my perfered TD provider tells us that they will not do a TD at eagles due to the armco barriers. OK to bounce back a car on the track but m/c need some run off room. when ya'll ride EC please post back up your impressions and safety concerns .. ie, did anyone smack an armco rail

they removed the armco in jan. the CMRA and all the TD providers put presure on them till they moved it. I haven't been there yet but know cmra is racing there in sept and ridesmart has some days there that I will be teaching at. everyone I talked to whos ridden there likes it alot so I'm looking forward to going up there. I just don't know if the pocket book can handle two race weekends back to back

I crashed at Texas World the month after a guy riding a gp 250 crashed and died hitting the railing. I crashed the same corner, same spot, but after they put up hay bales. I went thru 4 rows before stopping.

I don't remember the turn #, but it was on the long track after the long straight in the back end of the track. After the straight there is a left, into a left going down hill into a right. Went down in the right. The railing was there because of a big gully right off the track. I am thinking it is turn 9is, maybe as high as 11? Depends on where all they call a and b turns. It has been since 2001, so its a little fuzzy. All I really remember is the corner worker and track officials told me a guy died in the same turn the month before and thats why they added hay bales. I was somewhere between 90 and 100 mph and the corner worker woke me up. We actually had to look for my bike.

Good news on the "removed" armco barriers.
TWS took down the wall & is adding an air fence
and yes been lots of auh chits at 8a as you can hit gravety cavity at full tilt then 8 at some real speed very little braking area between 8 & 8a.
Looks like mother nature is going to rain us out at TWS Monday .. I loose
$ 160 buckos as I don't ride TD's is the rain. This is the third TD that I have signed up/paid up and got raned out. GSS is cool they are giving us rain checks but TWS the cheap %^&* won't do that.
lets hope for the best as I am signed up at Grandsports for the 17th.
