for a fee, and I don't remember how much, you can get access on motogp.com they have different rates for High-resolution or otherwise - non high res is fine for the computer and a lot cheaper. but you get access to full race, full video of the qualifying practices and pre-post interviews. coverage is much better and you can watch when convenient - much better than speed and worlds better than Fox.

Or you do the non paying option, but then you usually have to wait 1-2 days...

"Choking Chimp is a Chump".

I guess we won't be starting up a Daniel Pedrosa Fan Club here on the SuperHawk forum anytime in the near future?

It would be fun to put him on a Ducati Streetfighter and see if he could touch the ground....seat height 33 inches.

Ha! Are you kiddin'? I looked it up. He's 5'2" and 112 lbs. I don't think I've ever had a girlfriend that little. If he wasn't a racer he'd need to ride a Rebel 250 or a Harley 883 Low Blow or whatever they're called.

I don't care. It isn't his fault how little he is. He's a good racer. If he fell off a bit less he'd be a really good racer.

I can tell you guys don't want to join the Pedrosa fan club though, OK by me.

I didn't care for his expressionless zombie interviews, but when he speared his teamate - now it's clear, not a member, RK1

Pedrosa set the fastest lap, rides well, and provides good competition for viewers. I'm not a fan of anyone including this guy, I just like to watch Motorcycle races. There's a lot of good riders in Moto GP and obviously he's one of the best.

G.O.A.T as Rossi is called is an acronym for Greatest Of All Time... How did you end up putting that label on Pedrosa?

Usually I stay out of stupid threads, but here goes...

You have a dislike for Pedrosa based on that he "speared Nicky"... You label him "a choker"... Well good for you, now get out there and put in a laptime in the same hour as he or put a foot in it...

You tend to forget that it's racing... Quick deciscions under stress...

I have seen Nicky do things equally stupid as that move or more... He was just lucky and got away without hitting anybody... I have also seen him take out other riders, which you haven't commented on... The only difference being that they may have had less to loose in championship points, it's still the same bonehead move...

When you are racing, you don't "see" your teammate, you a see a competitor on track, and you race him the same as anyone else...

As for "choking"... Well judging Nicky by the same standard as you judge Pedrosa, he is now on a bike not made around another rider with entirely different body size (I completely agree on that point, the bike was made around Pedrosa, and Nicky was playing second fiddle... If Honda "forgot about him" is an entirely different matter) so now he should be winning races right?!

Soooo... How many wins have Nicky racked up this year?! Ooh, that's right... He hasn't got any... And he struggles to get in top 5 unless other riders fall off in front of him, going backwards as many times as going forward... That makes him a "choker"... Right?!

I have no problem with you rooting for American riders... If there was a Swede in MotoGP I'd be cheering for him, good or bad...

I do however have a problem with the name's you put on Pedrosa... I'm not a big fan of him myself, I tend to cheer for JT myself... But Pedrosa is talented, fast and just as good a rider as your belowed Nicky...

And as far as I can tell they are equally "good" or "bad" as persons... I don't know any of them and as far as I know neither do you...

Some have said that Pedrosa is a "robot" when doing interviews... Well you try doing a TV interview in Spanish where you aren't allowed to use any english and see what the spanish speaking think of that... I have seen TV interviews in spanish with him and then he is certianly not robotic... (I took spanish as a class in school, it's rather common here in Sweden...)

I'd say this is a rather classic tendency for US fans... If your guy's don't win big in Europe it's the other guys fault... But if the Europeans come to you home court and loose it's their fault... This time the US riders lost at home... And the way I see it it was nobody's fault but their own...

You wanna cheer? I'll buy you the pom-poms... But lay of the name calling...

lol! see here: https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...54&postcount=8

'Goat' is a colloquiallism for someone who can win but ends up doing not so good after losing their head. And he is a pygmy, lol!

Ok, so there is a difference between "goat" and "G.O.A.T"...

But that doesn't change the fact that you are crossing the line between cheering for one rider and slandering another... No, he is not a pygme... look it up in a dictionary...

While I am not suprised with all the trash talking, from the usual suspects, about everybody except good ole' Nicky; I am suprised that there hasn't been more praise of Colin here on the forum. He is running 5th overall with a possibility of finishing as high as 3rd this year. Go Colin!

For the record I really don't like Pedrosa either but the man can ride. I am also not a super fan of Rossi either but I found him to be a really nice guy and a cool person to talk to.

Hey, I think Jorge Lorenzo is doing great. He rides ***** out to get noticed alongside his team mate Rossi, who I don't like. He seems like a decent guy too, so I'm pulling for Lorenzo to get the Championship.

I think Nicky would be best to go to World Superbike.

So far Nicky has been the only one besides Casey Stoner that has been able to ride the Ducati at all. Marco Melandri gave up trying. He has been steadily improving and finally got that beast on the podium. He is a World Champion and no one can take that away from him, though one could argue that Pedrosa and HRC tried.

Disdain for D.P. in the US is not limited to this thread by a long shot - I heard there was a whole section of fans at Indy that were wearing "Pedrosa Sucks" t-shirts. Check any internet forum stateside and you will see that he's not too popular.

Having said that, no one should take the Pedrosa bashing too seriously. He's a good rider, but Nicky is our hero and Pedrosa is the villian. Makes for good racing and trash-talking. Take it FWIW.

Oh believe me, I'm not too worked up... I just think that some of you americans have a big mouth that needs filling up with something smelly sometimes... I just happened to think that somethings needed to be put into perspective...

I'm not american so I'm not indoctinated to believe in the US vs the world thing that most of you do... So I tend to upset both sides equally...

I believe there is a line somewhere that separates cheering for one rider and bashing another... And a point where it becomes very old and non-interesting...

Yeah Nicky might be a hero to some... To me he's a rider in the pack... And his **** stinks like anybody else...

Once he start's placing consistantly in the top 5 or on podiums I might change that statement... Not before...

well said Tweety. you're right on with the indoctrination and it's amazing how widespread it is here, unfortunately.

THX! But let's examine the parallels, or the lack thereof.

MOTOGP: Canepa - also ran, never qualified #1, never led a lap, never 1st in race, never in running for championship, on inferior equipment, (pretty sure he's never been on the box), off line, running slower (look at closing rates) and then pinches corner - in qualifying. Nicky over-reacts to move and ***** up. Late in (wet) qualifying.

We all know what Dani did, early in the (dry) race to his teammate who was vying for the world championship...

All I'm saying is that Dani is a hothead about managing race wins which also leads to championships.

And he's an expressionless leprechaun.

The race for Dani...
