Choking Chimp is a Chump SPOiler ALERT
I love it! Pedrosa throws it away in the rain leading by seven seconds!

yeah, just like that no-talent rossi threw it away when he crashed late in the 06 season and handed the title to that whiner Hayden - these guys are just so lame. we should really be out there and show them all how its done.

Yeah the worst of all is that no talent Stoner. It's the bike that does all the riding for him. And that punk Rossi just uses the force to ride. No real talent there either since the midichloridians are doig all the work. And the only reason Pedrosa can win is because he weighs less that the fuel load in the bike. I mean really most of us could smoke these guys if we had similar bikes.

And what puss that Hopkins is too. I mean who takes time off for surgury when your going to race in your home country. And don't get me started on the Colin Edwards guy either I mean come on and win a race already man!

I wasn't commenting on his skill, I was commenting on his inability to keep his head and manage a race win. I wasn't commenting on any other rider...and I said nothing about my ability to ride. He had a chance to win an easy ride just by slowing down. It shows the same lack of maturity that caused this:
And now he can't ride today's race. Can I help it if I'm rooting for American riders?

but I think pedrosa has been one of the most consistent riders this and last season. they all make mistakes, especially when rookies. Remember the almost regular crashes from stoner his first GP season? And what about rossi taking out depuniet recently? Pedrosa is very good and particularly this season has been rock steady till this crash - despite a lot of races with intense pressure on him. I know he isn't popular here, but I don't understand the dislike of him. And to say any of these top riders are chokers is just absurd.

In spite of his crashitis his rookie season, Stoner has already won a title. In spite of the fact that Honda designed a bike around him and Dorna designed a series around him, Pedrosa hasn't won anything yet.

I don't know him personally, but I wouldn't be the first to say I've noticed Pedrosa lacking a little in the personality department. I know that has nothing to do with what counts-his ability to ride a bike, but it would be at least part of the reason he's not the most popular rider here. And that crash with Hayden will always be in folks minds. It was a mistake but a REALLY BIG one...anybody remember the rest of Bill Buckner's career or the ball that went through his legs? And like Killer said, they basically designed the damn bike around him and now the series too.

I like Pedrosa as a rider. I think he's one of the best and his results show it.
It looked to me like he got to where he thought he could do anything, his tires were working so well. but he finally got to a speed where the front end fully hydroplaned. the instant he touched the brake, he went down like he was on ice. I think it took him completely by surprise.
The lap times this year are all falling drastically from the 990 days. so much for the BS argument that safety was the primary concern in the displacement reduction. All it's done is eliminate all but the deepest of pockets. And made rider size and weight a bigger factor.
Honda has always liked small, high-revving engines. They used to try to compete in the GP class with a 500cc four-stroke that spun at something like 22,000 rpm (the NR500, which preceded the NS and NSR 500 two-strokes).

Can you imagine the stress Nicky has been under the last 2 seasons, knowing he is bottom priority on the team.
And yeah, personality wise: Hayden 1, Pedrosa 0

yeah, nicky sounds like a great guy, and american and its nice he's done well in GP. but get over it, at some point maybe he just isn't in the same league at least on the 800 bikes. This low man business get old. its a small bike. Small guys maybe have an advantage, though i believe rossi is one of the tallest riders out there. Being low man hasn't hurt Lorenzo much (if he could stop crashing long enough to show his potential) and he and Rossi are similarly different heights, sharing the same platform. If honda is not good to work with, Nicky should leave. Rossi's biography describes the same issues he had with honda, and that was as the best rider in the world at the time - so he took a risk and left. Paid off, paid off for Stoner to take a chance. We usually make our own fates.

well you are consistent! and what about the doctor?
for a USA race, covered by USA network, we sure didn't get to see much of nicky or colin on track - I thought the actual bike race coverage was pretty lame.

Yeah i was cursing fox for taking up race time with nascar ****, like we get so much time comparatively, huh. It's like we're second class citizens.
