Honda's isn't VVT, it just disables 2 valves below 7k rpm. True VVT should be able to dramatically broaden an engine's torque curve (not that a large twin needs it).

It'll be better when this tech makes it's way to bikes with smaller displacement and only one cylinder head.

Are camshafts a bit old fashioned now. Should they not be concentrating on electronically controlled plungers to open and close valves. I love marketing. They will sell this to all the rich folk and then the following year bring the next stage out to sell, so double their money. Greedy rip off companies.

All of this **** is why I love the Storm!

Carburettors that allow the bike to perform as well as the owners knowledge and involvement allows them to.

Yes I am old, and old fashioned , however it is getting to the point where devices are controlling us and not the other way around.

Eff all of this marketing, **** that has been around for eons but not available to mere mortals because of marketing and the like.

If I hold onto the Storm for long enough it will be worth a fortune!

Some cash rich cowboy that is on a nostalgia trip will pay me a fortune for the Storm!

Ha ha ha , it's all a numbers game!

Sorry for the rant I have seen all of this before.

Not exactly the same but similar.

Remember when EFI was all the rave on bikes!

V.W as a parent company have a lot to answer for.

Watch all the other manufacturers follow suit.

It's called marketing!

Watch as the minions lap it , and if it's no better it doesn't matter because the power of the $$$$ always wins.

Glowing endorsements because the magazines etc can't afford to say negative things because advertising revenue is the holey grail and the trade journals can't afford to do or say anything that stops revenue.

Watching this with interest!!!
