KTM unveils the 390 Duke at EICMA 2012
KTM today unveiled the 390 Duke, a higher capacity version of its successful 125/200 Duke models, at the EICMA 2012 Motorshow in Milan, Italy. Powered by a 373cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine that outputs 44 bhp, the 390 Duke will be a really quick bike, considering it weighs only 149 kgs fully loaded, with all fluids, about 14 kg heavier than its 200cc sibling. This gives the 390 Duke a power-to-weight ratio of 300 bhp/ton, enough for a 0-100 kmph in under 8 seconds.
The 390 Duke also comes as standard with Bosch Anti-lock Braking System as standard. The 390 Duke's bodywork and design are identical to the 125 and 200cc versions, but comes with its frame painted in orange.
The 390 Duke is expected to be launched in India by mid-2013, at around the Rs 2.5 lakh mark.
