A word on M4 exhausts
#61
Just spoke to Brandon and again it would have to be a from scratch effort...For comparison, a ballpark on a current header alone for a TLR was @ $800. To start over from scratch he referenced a few custom builds-more like $2500-$3000... Kinda sucks and he apologized over and over. Too bad because again their craftsmanship looks really nice and seems someone really put in some time developing them. I'm sure for most of us money IS an object. If for any of you it's not and you're in the Dallas area bring your bike and your wallet and anything is possible...

Thanks for all the effort in setting this up, you guys rock.
Cheers,

Would they be willing to part with a drawing of the system???
#68
Unfortunately it sounds like they don't even have those anymore...from what he said it's now basically like they never made it because they no longer have anything left related to it And to think I found a full system for my SV for $50 on ebay...****! I think I'll keep it just for spite when I sell the bike.

It's sad that they dumped, or didn't keep, the cad data. The Shawk gets abandoned, but they still make full systems for the Hawk gt. Just aint right.

There is a VTR fairly locally with a full system... I'll make sure to get pics next time we meet up... It sure sounds sweet and the bottom end is very pretty...

i have a full m4 exhaust, its in my pics. yes very nice system. pipe size is 2 1/2 inches. unfortunately, the packing in my cans burned out and during separation i wrecked the right one. now i cant get replacement parts. if anyone can help me with finding a slip on that has a straight 2 1/2 inch inlet, i would forever be in debt.

Well maybe we can work something out. You take the header off and the good pipe and ship it to us. We take all the CAD scans off your system and Capt Chaos welds you up a can or a pair - which we pay for in recognition of the contribution.

BTW, if you posted pics here, they are very well concealed as I just looked through the albums and old gallery and never say them.....

sorry mikstr, i HAD those pics on this site awhile ago. i will take more and post them tomorrow. as far as offering up my system for replication, you need some serious talent to make that rear pipe! and my bad they are only 2 1/4 inch diameter, been a long day.

if they are 2.25", have a look at Hindle's race cans, they should do the trick. You can often find htem for sale on eBay for a steal (a dealer in Edmonton had a bunch last spring, some were selling for double digits, brand new!!!)

Indeed I have, but so have numerous others on this site. Where you want to go from here depends on what you have already done and what you want to see improved. There is virtually no aspect of the bike that has not been altered by someone so ask away and you'll be amazed at the knowledge available here

Pictures and cad drawings, my cousins husband does some ridiculos pipe welding, like super clean microsoft plant piping, were talking electro polished (three micron average surface deviation) measured to the thousandth stuff. I'm thinking if I could get the drawings and someone who could bend the pipe...
