They look great - can't wait to get mine installed. I was waiting for some feedback from the first wave so Brovo Tweety. What's the little blue box?

This looks like a way simple install for way goodies from what I hear from other mfgrs. Best mod for the money - bar none.

Now all you gotta do is keep the bars out of your teeth.

Any liklihood of getting another batch of these made??

I chased around with the drawings and could get a similar price but a min quantity of 17 sets.

If mikstr would get another batch of 10 done I'd put in for 2 sets.

The little blue box is a Flo-Commander.

Glad to see you guys are happy with your stacks

As mikstr said... A FloCommander... And it did tell me I was one size off on the jets... Now she's running like a raped ape... Damn...

On a normal install I'd probably recommend making a notch in one of the stacks where the ring meets tthe little black box with filter in... Mine refused to sit flat without it... Other than that it's Bolt-n-Play...

I obviously had to make a two large notches for the hose adapter for the FloCommander... But that's unneccessary for most...

Finally got a chance to get one set installed. The track bike got done first. I was able to get it to the dyno to get an air fuel ratio done on it. Not too bad, I need to drop the mains 1 size and bump the pilots up 2 sizes. I will do that today and head to the track with it tomorrow to see how it does. Looking forward to trying it out.

There is no doubt that the stacks made a difference. It pulls very hard out of the corners and all the way to the top. Had a couple of pucker spots where the front end used to just get a little light and now would become lofted. What a fun bike on the track.

Nice to see you got the same results I did...can't wait to pair them with a fresh Stage 1 Motor

Mikstr,

Would you be willing to head up another purchase from your machinist. Sounds like there is some more interest.

I didn't have the funds when the original order was placed. This time around, I would be sure to set it aside.

Please let those of us interested know.

Thanks.

Erik

Wouldn't it be a good idea if any of the Mod's changed the title of this thread and for example added " - Completed" or something, as there is no one taking orders?! It might lessen the confusion a bit...

If someone want's to get a new run going, the data for the CNC is available... Just go find a shop and get a quote... Then start a new thread and get a group together...

Good luck, it might be hard to get people to commit...

I saw this post after the fact, my loss, I have yet to open the air box on the Hawk for someone who has never looked at the factory set up with out them saying, thats odd, there different lengths. The japenese over engineer so many things and get such great results.
I want new velocity stacks. They are of equal length, right ?

Tweety, who has the CNC programming, if it's available, I would like a copy of it.

Not CNC programming exactly, but the 3D data points from scanning/mapping the original stack provided... haknslash or mikstr can probably provide them...

Any half decent CNC operator can turn that into a velocity stack... Might charge you two arms and a leg though...

I have one machinist that will do a minimum of 17 pairs. Unfortunately I can't put in that much cash up front, but they would be around $110US per pair plus shipping from Australia.

I've have a few other quotes for lower numbers but they have been outrageous. Getting another quote this week hopefully.

If anyone needs the 3D file I still have it. Any CNC operator who uses CAD/CAM software could use it. Same with the 2D file. The drawngs are also out there I'm sure.

Yes, they are equal length. I questioned the designer about this some time ago, and said dyno testing showed there was no need for unequal lengths. He had a dyno sheet to prove they were better than the stock set-up so I guess he was right.

As an aside, he actually worked for Honda car division in some capacity when I met him.

I'm Italian, and if possible I want to buy a pair of velocity stacks. If not possible, I'm interested in the 3D data for CNC program... can I have?

Rama, unless you organize one, there is no new planned production... Try sending hak a PM for the files...

Just pinged Hak. I know a couple of machinists in the Bay area and will ping them for pricing. We'll see what price I can get
