I've go a 98 vtr1000f, had the fork seals changed last week. And there already blown, he says the tube is pretty scratched and to replace them. My problem, I have chrome rim and heli risers and do not want to change them out. Is there any other forks that are interchangeable that will retain my stock rim and bar risers. Thank guys

I don't understand the original question. To replace the tubes, you need to disassemble the front end, which includes taking the wheel off and removing the handlebars. Once the tubes are replaced, you just put everything back together.

Fork tubes? Thats Forks by Frank.
If the pitting and scratching are so deep that they can't be polished out, and I've been there, that seals work properly. . .time for new tubes. And you know that the tubes are straight, ergo; no handling issues afterward.

What kind of fork seals were used, OEM Honda seals or some aftermarket crap? I've tried to save a buck in the past and installed some Pyramid (or K&L, don't recall) which lasted all of 60 seconds before they started leaking. Were the bushings replaced as well?
