Soupys Performance Lowering Link experience?
I would like to lower my hawk a little bit so my wife can ride it too. Soupys is all over every google search I do, and is pretty much the only option I've found.
However, I dont trust the adjustable feature of this lowering link yet.
Has anyone bought / installed one of these? Thoughts? Experiences?
thanks!

It depends on how you use the bike. A lowering link will decrease the swingarm angle, which is an absolutely critical parameter in a high performance geometry configuration. Decreasing an already shallow swingarm angle will cause the rear suspension to squat on acceleration. This makes the suspension less compliant on corner exits because squat causes the suspension to compress. This negatively affects traction during aggressive riding in the twisties.
A high performance setup increases the swingarm angle, which then balances the chain force with the weight transfer, so the net effect is a minimal change in the rear suspension load during hard acceleration. This makes the suspension compliant, when you need rear traction the most.
