Talking K&N filter Slips ons and is Dynojet kit worth it?

So yay! I bought a Super Chicken! Anyways, guy had a K&N filter and D&D exhaust, but carbs where terribly tuned. I was thinking of buying the dynojet kit, but the website said 190/195 mains. Seems a bit much compared to stock, really my question is does anyone have a similar set up and how does it work for you?

Problem is 'K&N' is too short for the site's own indexing to work.

Here's a link to google's site search which shows how often the subject crops up

I am sure that link goes to googles home page. Also pretty sure that the screen shot is where you were trying to put a link to.

My bike came with a k&n filter two brother pipes and block off plates. I have not looked at the carbs so I can't say what's in there. All I can say is unlike most people's comments on here, about k&n, the setup seems to work perfect. Never backfires, pulls strong right to the rev limiter as I found out again today .

I like the setup...it works for me.
I have a k&n filter, jardine high mount exhaust, and a dynojet kit.
Their recommendations are WAY to rich.
My jets are at 180/185 instead of their 190/195 suggestion and mixture screws out 2.25 instead of their 2.5 instructions, and clips on the 5th position.
Probably still a bit too rich, but it pulls hard all the way through, so I'm happy.

Every SH I have messed with that had a K&N filter ended up with a hole in the power band.

So say they run great all you want but I still have never ridden a SH with a K&N filter that worked correctly.

After reading the whole thing whole thing it makes a lot of sense to me.

But then it would as it backs up a lot of my tuning ideas Which includes stock airbox and filter on late model or later model Hondas
