Question Which Jet Kit?

Hello all. I am looking to purchase a jetkit for my hawk. I have looked at the Dynojet and the Factory Pro, any opinions about which one is better? I am concerned with the number of jets that come with each and the range that they cover. I am going to be having a custom exhaust built up and I want to make sure I can tune the carbs to the exhuast when I do it, so I need a good range of adjustment. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I can't help you in terms of range of jets although it is safe to assume that both companies offer up a full range of jets. One thing to be aware of, however, is that DJ do not use the same numbering sytem as Factory adn Keihin. I have a DJ kit in my VTR (with Micron slip-ons), installed and dyno-tuned by dealer and it works very well. Good luck with your project and don't forget, we want pictures!!!!!

I will be providing them shortly! I have 90% of the parts now, just now starting the mock up. I will be posting pictures of each section as I complete mock, then put up the final version after paint and powder coating. My friends are ribbing me that I will be finishing the bike as a 2008 model. I dont think that I can go all summer without a bike, so I will be pressing to get it done!

How long/hard is it to Tune the jets for a new exhuast? I would really like to get a TBR exhaust, jut don't want the tuning to be a huge hassle/waste of time & Money?

Depends on your mechanical skills, if you are doing it yourself, its just a matter of time. I would guess most guys will have to pull the tank two or three times to fine tune it in after the initial install.

You will most likely need to sync the carbs as well.

Its not real hard if you have tools and skill to do it.

I can't speak on the DJ Kit, but my FactoryPro kit has been trouble free and runs smooth top to bottom in the rpm range.
