HELP! Newbie with Jetting issues
A month a go I picked up a totally stock 2003 superhawk with only 1100 miles on it. My first mod was a set of LEO High mount slip-ons to give it a little more grunt. After reading all the posts on mods for this bike I decided to install a jet kit (DynoJet) a K&N air filter and remove the PAIR system. WELL….I followed the instructions to the “T” installing the jet kit and the K&N filter. Removed the PAIR system and blocked off the original covers with epoxy(where the tube mounts up). All I can say is the bike runs like *****…I even took everything apart again to check to see if maybe the CV diaphragm was pinched or something wasn’t right, but every thing was dead on.
In summary:
DJ kit 190 rear and 185front, c clip in 5th groove from top (as per instructions when using a K&N), 2.5 turns out of the A/F screw. K&N filter with the little rubber block-offs underneath the filter plate. I blocked off the air box where the PAIR valve attached to.
Questions;
What do I do with the vacuum tube that comes of the front carb that did connect to the actual PAIR valve???plug it?
Did any one use this set up with success?
Many thanks in advance

Problem Solved!!!
Boy am I a Dumb ***...so the problem was with the FUEL VALVE. on mine(2003) the valve has the 2 fuel tubes on both sides of the valve and what I thought was the attachment for the vacuum diaphragm running perpendicular to the fuel lines, it even has a small hole in the top which looked to me like an air port. It took me hooking up an auxiliary fuel source to sync the carbs to realize this (all of a sudden it was running better).So I found the intended attachment for the vacuum hose(tucked away behind the left fuel port) and I’m back in business All I can say now is that I’ve be come quite proficient in stripping of the tank, box an carbs
Its seems to be running a little rough with a little hesitation down low…does any one have any suggestions about fine tuning?
