Has anyone tried the Jardine 2:1 ?

I've read a lot of posts about people fabing their own single pipes. I'm wondering about the Jardine 2:1 full system designed for the RC51. Does anyone know if it will fit a hawk? The posts I read said a single pipe will cost HP...is that really true? Sure I would like some performance gains, but really what I'm looking for is a nice clean looking pipe with the most obnoxious sound possible!

Thanks

I've messed with OEM rc51 exhaust parts and can tell you they don't match up. NO experience with the 2-1 tho'.

You will lose a little hp on the top end with a single exhaust, though a bit of torque may be gained throughout the range. To my knowledge a single sided exhaust is not available for sale in the US. You will have to custom make one like I did.

Thanks for the tips. Yeah, I think you are right about a single sided not being available in the US for a super hawk. Jardine offers a 2:1 Full System for the RC51 which is about $480. Originally I was thinking about going with the Jardine slip ons. I thought if the RC51 system fit it would be better, cuz 1...It's cheaper, and 2...it would be mean! superbling says the oem doesn't match up which makes me think the Jardine system wouldn't either. I've emailed Jardine...I'll let you guys know what they say. Thanks again

The Jardine 2-1 system that I saw was on a friend's RC51. It was carbon fiber and hand welded (not bent) titanium, $1200 if I remember correctly. It kicked serious butt. More power everywhere and a sound that I haven't heard before or since. I'd love to have something similar on my VTR. I don't have $1200, so it's just a dream for now...
