Group Buy on HEL S/S Brake and Clutch Lines
I recently purchased a set of HEL, front-rear brakes and clutch lines, to replace the stock lines I had on my '98 SH along with new EBC HH brake pads and fluid change. It was amazing how much better the brake and clutch systems performed over the old, everything is much firmer and more responsive.
Craig over at HELUSA, http://helusa.com/, is offering two packages to the SH forum members and they are:
1. 3 brake line kit. The front can be two-line or over the mud guard (one line into two lines) for $132.00, regular price is $147.00.
2. 3 brake line kit plus the clutch line for $176.00, regular price $197.00.
These kits include new bolts and crush washers. The stainless steel lines are made up of 32 individual strands versus the competition at 16 strands. The banjos are stainless steel and you have a choice of several PVC colors over the stainless lines.
Shipping is included in the price. When ordering, mention that you are a SH forum member.
NOTE: If you have modified your springs or are planning to modify the forks in the near future, please let Craig know. The stock length front brake lines are a little short with modified springs. I found out the hard way, but Craig made things right.
This price is good until November 24, 2007.
Below are pictures of my bike with the HEL performance lines.

Folks, speak up if this is still an expensive proposition. If so, I will talk to Craig to see if he can sweeten the deal.
I see members are looking, but no one is commenting. I don't have any affiliation with HEL other than the fact that I purchased there products a really pleased with the performance.
Peace out.

I ordered a +1.7 inch longer clutch line from Craig at HEL USA today (seems like a cool dude). Needed only slightly longer line (and to replace the OEM line after 9 years!) due to my Tommaselli 3-way adjustable clip-ons (replacing my Helibars for another inch of back & up). $49 including shipping any length with stainless fittings and banjo bolts + copper crush washers, cool! Also ordered a new stainless bleed nipple for the slave cylinder.
Had to order +4 inch throttle cables from MoitionPro but @ $35 each + shipping, ouch! The friggin Tomamasellis were only $110 including shipping. Will post up pics once install is complete (as well as probably sell my Helibars but keep the OEM bars for postarity). Was going to do a "Superbike" (tubular) bar conversion but decided on the Tommasellis, so the extra OEM top clamp I bought from another Lister will also go on the block.

OCD, got it.
Being frugal, I did some looking around. Galfer are good brake lines, right?
If Helusa wants to be competitive, he needs to come way down.
http://www.hardracing.com/Brakes/GalferLines.htm
Front and rear, SS Galfer lines, $119 (3 lines)
Front, rear and clutch, SS Galfer lines, $155 (4 lines)
Just some competitive shopping. Craig may be willing to price match.

Supermarto:
If you break down the price for the HEL lines, the 3 line brake system or 3 line brake system plus the clutch is $44.00 per line.
That is less than the prices you quoted, plus shipping is included in this price.

The Galfer clutch line is $63 + shipping. I got the Hel clutch line a custom length for $49 with no shipping added in 5 days. I already had SS dual front and rear.
I'm a happy camper. Craig at Hel will probably match any Galfer pricing.

I was not advertising for Speigler, I was just sayin... I figured someone would give me the price breakdown since I am too lazy to figger it myself!
Those Hel lines would look good on my bike in red for sure. Where do we stand for a group buy?

FWIW, the "feel" of the clutch will not be any different than stock. The SS line is slightly lighter and is not made of rubber so the clutch fluid will not turn black as quickly as stock. There is no swell on clutch lines. You're talking 20-25psi on the clutch, tops, as opposed to possibly several hundred psi on the brake system.
