Factory Pro tuning HELP!

98, 25k, Pair disabled
Remus Ti high mount slipons shortened 8 inches
BMC filter
Factory Pro kit

180/182 50 pilot screws 2.5 out
needle in the 4th clip, carbs synced after and it has gas in the tank...

idle is not there, as soon as the choke is taken off she tries to die. it was jetted by a shop and in the process of jetting it the RR took a crap, so instead of paying them to mess with it again i'd like some suggestions and i'll see if i can get her running right myself (RR is now replaced and shows 13.06 off 14.22@1600 and 13.9@5000)

before the shop worked on it i just had the slipons on it, stock dirtyfilter and stock jetting there was a major dead spot around 5k that is gone it pulls hard above 3k but down low it tries to die and almost feels like it drops a cylinder from time to time...i'm not sure where to go from here! any suggestions?

thanks
andy

AZZKIKER is an unknown quantity at this point
I had a BMC race, full exhaust and I used 182f/185R with a 50 pilot and same settings on the screws. It ran perfect and made 107 hp before the other mods.

There are a lot of people on this forum that have more experience with this than I have but maybe this will help.

Did it idle at the shop?
Have you had the carbs apart to find out if they did what they said they did?

Have you called Factory Pro?
Have you checked the Honda shop manual?
Assuming the engine is warmed up, it should idle at those settings. Many people would find the pilot jet too rich but it sounds lean.

Andy:

I had the same problem and I put the stock slow jets back in and it solved the idle issue without losing any of the acceleration.

Leave everything the same just swap out the #50 for the stock jets.

Good Luck.
