CBR929 or other forks

CBR929 or other forks
Ok, So now that I am totally spoiled by the nearly perfect suspension-steering components on my R1, I want to make my VTR a happier ride by treating it to some new forks.
Now I am NOT going to go out and get some Ohlins stuff, so don't start on me, but I seem to remember that CBR 929 forks might be a straight bolt on deal to the VTR. If possible I'd like to addon the triples, bearings, axle, wheel, and brakes from a CBR.
I know I will have to do a bit of shopping but it cannot end up costing much more than 800 or so for some good parts.
Anyone gone this route, and if so , can you share details, like photos and installation tips. Thanks to anyone replying.
