can anyone tell me the difference in master cyl?

what are the differences in the 954,929 and RC51 master cylinders? Piston diameters? What are the piston diameters? I know the 51 are 19mil. what about the rest?

If I'm not mistaken, all three have basically identical systems. i.e. same size MC

I believe the 954 is 17mm, and the 929 is 19mm. I forget the 51. I believe it's one of those two sizes though. This answer could be found by searching around a while, for sure.

I have a 929 m/c and it's 3/4"...or 19.05mm.

I scored a caliper and M/C setup from a 929 on ebay for 80 bucks. I'll let you know how it goes in a few days

That's a good price for the whole rig.

2003-2004 CBR600RR mc 11/16” (17.4625 mm)
caliper pistons 32mm/30mm

2000-2001 CBR929RR mc 19mm
caliper pistons 34mm/30mm

2002-2003 CBR954RR mc 11/16” (17.4625 mm)
caliper pistons 32mm/30mm

2000-2001 RC51 mc 19mm
caliper pistons 34mm/32mm

2002-present RC51 mc 11/16” (17.4625 mm)
caliper pistons 32mm/30mm

1999-Present CBR600F4(i) mc 5/8” (15.87mm)
caliper pistons 34mm/32mm

It looks like after 2002 Honda settled on the 11/16" master cylinder coupled with the calipers with 32mm/30mm pistons. I have the F4i setup (as well as the 600RR setup), which should provide a little more leverage at the expense of more lever travel and I like it a lot.

great info killer = thanks! I will check the part numbers and post back. It would be really cool if they were all the same in that size.

Score?

I just purchased a RC51 MC, lines, and calipers for $110 shipped to my door. They are off a SP2. Ordered the stainless Galfer lines. Not sure if I over paid for the parts or not. Seemed fair to me I guess. Excited to get the system on as I hear it is a huge improvement.
