Good deal on the brake setup, andy.
I have used Vesrahs on my Hawk with the F4i brake setup and they gave a firm lever and great feel, but I couldn't generate the absolute maximum braking power I wanted. When I took the same setup and put it on with the 954 forks when I did the swap the maximum braking power was awesome--all I could ever want or need--I guess because of the larger diameter of the 954 rotors. Currently I'm using a 600RR mc and calipers with the Vesrah pads and they work absolutely great.
I don't want to steer you away from the Vesrahs because they are quality pads (and they make more than one compound), but with the stock forks and rotors I didn't get quite all the max power I wanted.
I have heard great things about the EBC HH pads from many sources, but I haven't tried them (yet).
